Despite waiting for so long, somehow I still managed to screw up heating the pizza, it was cold at the center despite the cheese at the side were already like molten lava. At that point, I already gave up and swallowed the hot at the sides and cold at the center pizza like a Komodo dragon.

“Oh you are up?” the only female housemate Vieve asked seeing that I am alone eating in the living room.

“Yeah” I replied while chewing on the pizza, “Would you mind toss me the pepper flakes?”

“No, get them yourself” she denied looking straight at me even though it was right there within her arm’s reach.

“I hope that you know you can be a real bitch at times” I reminded standing up to get the pepper flakes.

“What are you going to do about it?” she replied in a tone as if she were challenging me to a fight.

I stared at her for a moment thinking if she really thinks she can win against me in a fight when I am at least double her size. “You don’t want to do this V” I warned. “You won’t win if I get serious”.

“Pretty sure I will win” she stated proudly pulling a familiar-looking swiss army knife out from her pocket.

“Oh? you want to use the birthday gift I got you against me?” I questioned realizing that the knife she’s pointing at me with is the one I got for her.

“Is mine I can do whatever I want with it” she stated.

“That’s true, it is yours” I stated before slapping her hand surprising her to the point that she dropped the knife, “You lost, the moment you showed me the knife.”

I could see from her facial expression that she really wants to stab me for real now, but then again she’s been wanting to stab me even before I got her the weapon to so is something that I’ve grown used to as I returned back to my seat and continued to eat my pizza.

Without saying anything else, she returned to her room pissed over what just happened. I hoped that what happened showed her that all this time the boys have been letting her win seeing that she is the only girl but even so we have our limits.

“Nah, she probably won't get it and will just see me as being a dick or something” I stated out loud taking the last bite of my pizza.

“You shouldn’t do that” Ed stated.

“You saw it what happened?” I questioned taking my plate to the sink.

“Yea, you shouldn’t have done it” he lectured resting by the wall.

“Someone has to remind her that we can't always be nice just because she’s the only female here” I defended while washing the plate.

“There are better ways to do that compared to what you did” Ed continued.

“true but you and I both know she won't listen to us the kind way considering she is as stubborn as us no matter she wants to admit it or not” I stated.

“I am not going to comment on that” he stated because he knows I am right. It’s something that everyone in the house other than her knows, is just that we don’t want to tell her because we know she won’t take the news well, and plus we are not the right person to say it to her since we are all almost the same.

“Her gal pals, are almost the same or if not worse than her” I stated, “You know that better than me.”

“I wouldn’t go that far” he denied.

“Keep telling yourself that,” I said with a pat on his shoulder before entering my room.

Once I closed the door, the first thing my eyes focused on was the book on my desk. I have almost forgotten about the dream of Yukihime in the barn. I wrote down as much as I could remember which isn’t a lot considering I have a horrible memory.

“Remember” Yukihime’s voice echoed in my head which made me realized that I just might be schizophrenic and hearing things I shouldn’t. But then my knowledge of schizophrenia is from the movie ‘A Beautiful Mind’ so I can’t be too sure about it myself. Maybe I should seek professional help, but can I afford it?

While I was thinking about whether I really have schizophrenia, there was a ding sound from my laptop as the screen lighted up. A message was sent from a junior that I haven't talk to in a long time since graduation from university.

“Hello” her message read.

“Hello to you too” I answered.

“Do you remember who I am?” she questioned.

“The junior named Sera that’s four years younger than me?” I answered. “What’s up? It been some time since we last chatted or saw each other”

“I need some advice about life and I don’t know who to talk to” she stated.

“And you chose me? I am honored.”

“Can we meet up?”

“Sure! When?”

“Tonight.”

I looked at the time after reading that she wants to meet up tonight and is already almost 5. There’s not really a lot of time left and she must be desperate or something to message someone she hasn't talk to in years asking them to meet tonight or she is trying to sell me something.

A risk that I decided to take as I agreed to meet up with her at 7, in a café not far from where I lived which was nice for me but not so much for her cause if memory served me right, she lived on the other side of town.

When I arrived at the café, she was already there waiting for me which was something unexpected. She waved at me from where she sat and I went over.

“You look the same after all these years” she stated upon seeing taking my seat.

“Is that supposed to be a compliment?” I asked looking glancing through the menu.

She looked grown-up compared to before, though I preferred her with long hair, short hair fits her well. However, one thing about her so far remained the same, that being her smile. The smile that would make any rainy stop and the sun comes up. The signature sunshine smile of hers.

“You look grown-up” I complimented trying not to stare.

“I ought to be considering I am already 21 years old” she replied flicking her hair as if she’s proud of it.

“So you are finally legal to drink, unlike back then” I stated with a smirk.

“Haha, very funny let's not talk about the humiliating part of our pasts okay?” she requested.

“Agreed, so what you want to talk about?”

“Let’s order first, it might take some time” she suggested gesturing to the waiter to come over.

Once we finished ordering and the waiter left, she took a deep breath as if she was preparing herself to make an announcement which was making me feel nervous because I have no idea what was coming, she could be about to pitch me some undeniable business deal or pyramid scheme. Who knows?

“I am moving into your flat” she announced something that I was totally unprepared for that I didn’t know how to react when I heard it.

“Are you okay?” she asked seeing that I was silent.

“Are you sure about this?” I finally got back to my senses.
