She explained that she’s been looking for a new place to stay for her work so she wouldn’t have to travel as far as she needs to if she stayed home and coincidently, she found out that one of the rooms in my share house is vacant and currently looking for a tenant.

“That doesn’t explain how you know I live there” I started drinking my ordered coffee.

“Oh, that is because the owner of the house told me about the current tenants when I asked” she answered nonchalantly.

“So you know about everyone that is currently living in the house right now?’ I questioned.

“Just from what the landlord thinks of you guys”

“Is it bad?”

“She gave some good reviews about how you guys pay online and keep the house clean when she comes over from time to time.”

I chuckled upon hearing what the landlord had to say about us considering how big of a mess we are and yet somehow she sees things differently.

“So, I asked you out today because I want to hear your opinion” she stated taking a drink of her juice.

“What do you want me to say?” I asked.

“Do you think I would fit in the house?” she stated.

“I can’t answer that, because I never lived with you before, and plus, I don’t even remember how you were like back then so I really can’t say” I answered honestly.

“That’s true” she realized I can’t answer her question.

“I guess the only way for you to determine it, is to experience it for yourself?” I suggested “Wait no, that’s not a good idea” I tried to stop but it was too late, the moment I finished my first sentence I could see her eyes glow up in excitement and anticipation.

“You are not gonna listen to the second part of what I just said aren’t you,” I asked after seeing her expression.

“Can I try living there for a week? Like a trial or something” she requested.

“This isn’t some subscription service where you get a 7-day free trial before deciding whether you should continue or not” I reminded sighing over the problem I unintentionally caused.

“But if the landlord agrees to it, then everything will be fine right?” she stated something that I can’t deny because I know that I don’t have the power to decide who lives in the house or not.

“Okay, I’ll give her a call and ask her about it right now” she stated dialing the landlord and walking out of the café to talk with her leaving me alone to contemplate what I have just done.

While I was alone sipping my coffee, music started to play in the café even though there was no one performing everything went dark, and spotlights shined on the mini stage. A woman in what looked like a red scale dress walked up the stage with a microphone at hand. Piano sounds can be heard as she gets ready to sing.

It took me a while to realize that the woman in the red dress is Yukihime because she looked slightly older compared to before, I slapped myself a few times trying to see whether if I was dreaming or is she really standing on the stage in front of me and about to sing.

Just when her lips opened, there was a tap on my shoulder and everything went back to normal. The lights went back on, there was no one on the stage and the café was back to normal.

“You okay?” Sera asked in a concerned tone “You looked like you seen a ghost”.

“I’m fine, zoned out in thought for a minute there” I lied blinking my eyes repeatedly still trying to grasps back reality.

“I don’t think you are okay, you look pale” she called my lie.

“I’m fine” I insisted “So what did Mrs. Moon say about you wanting to go through a trial?”

“She agreed, she said I can move in for a week tomorrow” she answered.

“Why am I not surprised?” I said with my hands covering my face in disappointment.

“So I’ll come over tomorrow noon, how does that sound?” she asked.

“I can’t say no” I gave in realizing that no matter what I say wouldn’t change what was going to happen.

She cheered in excitement as she takes her seat.

“Can I ask you one question though” I added.

“Hmm?” she hummed still in a blissful mood.

“What exactly are you doing anyway? Like what is your job?” I questioned.

“I’ll tell you if I decide to move in officially” she answered with a sly smile.

“Never mind then” I replied finishing my coffee before standing up to take my leave.

“Where are you going?” she questioned.

“Are we not done?’ I questioned back.

“It’s been so long since we last met each other, let's talk some more” she stated.

Though is true, it has been some time since we last saw each other so there might be something that we can talk about but the question is I don’t know what we can talk about. Is been so long that I barely remember what happened back then and plus what I am going through right now I don’t think is a good idea for me to stay in a place for long cause who knows what’ll see next.

Dreams turned voiced turned images, I have no idea what’s coming next and I am not sure if I want to know which is terrifying to me.

“Come on, let's talk” she pleaded “I want to hear about what you’ve been doing.”

“You’ll get your chance during your trial week” I replied with a sly smile.

Clearly, she wasn’t happy that I was using her trick against her but in a way, she got 7 days to find out everything she wants to know which is more than enough unless she is like some extreme stalker which I don’t think she is.

“Look, how bout we call it a night? And tomorrow when you start your trial I’ll tell you everything you want to know?” I suggested, “I need some rest, didn’t really slept last night”

“Fine” she begrudgingly agreed “You do look like shit anyway,” she said standing up walking to the cashier.

“I already paid for it” I stated.

“What? When?” she asked in confusion.

“When you went to make your call, now come on now you have a long way back home” I stated.
